When working at heights, dropping tools or other equipment poses a significant safety hazard. Safety at work is especially important when working on elevated work areas where personnel or contractors are working underneath. Dropped objects are unfortunately a common contributor to severe accidents in industrial facilities.

The dropped object prevention mat is a cost-effective drop safety tool. The dropped objects prevention mat allows personnel to work on grating while protecting their tools and equipment from falling through the grating. The nets are used in windpark projects (windturbine safety) during installation and maintenance.

The dropped object prevention mats are easy to carry and work on. The mat is highly effective in protecting personnel and contractors from dropped objects. The high-quality German fabric has a reinforced safety color yellow hem around the mat to secure the sides of the mat.

Drop Prevention Mat

Features:

The mats are connected to the grating in the following two ways:

  1. Mat secured with elastic banded hooks (spanners)

  2. Mat secured with 14 strong magnets, which connect to the grating. The magnets in the hem are rated for 84N each

1) Flame retardant dropped object prevention mat

The dropped object prevention mat is available with flame retardant coated polyester fabric. This flame retardant fabric is constructed of coated polyester mesh fabric. This dropped object prevention mat mesh is very strong and has a tear strength of 330N (DIN53363). The flame retardant mats are available with spanners and with magnets.

2) Fire resistant dropped object prevention mat

Fire resistant dropped object prevention mats is available with flame resistant material which is made of fiberglass double-coated polyurethane. It can resist temperatures of 550°C. The fire resistant mats are available with spanners and with magnets.
